A trip to Western Ghats - My experience!

Jai Sai Master!

Sri Saradamba temple, Sringeri in the twilight
Lord Chandramouliswara temple from Sringeri Mutt
For a long time, we yearned to see some of the places situated in western region of India, in Karnataka. Places like Sringeri, Udupi, Dharmasthala are all places well talked about and visited by many whom I know of. This never happened when I was in Bangalore and ironically, happened, after I settled in Hyderabad. Everything happened like a clock-work and whole trip of 2500+ kms went off without any hitch anywhere. And, in every temple we visited, we had wonderful opportunity to spend a lot of time in the presence of deity. Particularly Udupi, where Lord Krishna blessed us with 30 minutes of HIS presence, Dharmasthala, where we could walk through to the sanctum sanctorum to bow to the Divine Mother and the Lord, every thing still feels like a dream.

While going through the hills infested with forests to visit Horanadu or passing by Ghat section of Agumbe in heavy rain, it was only the blessings of Divya Janani that made this whole thing pass through with no incidents. It is said, only with the blessings of Mahatmas, such things happen. Be the darshan of Sringeri Seer, or allowing us to stay for two nights in the presence of Sri Saradamba, we feel, the sheer blessing made things possible for us to enjoy every moment.

This brings up the sentence mentioned by Sri Sai Master in Sri Sai Leelamrutam, where in the travel by Sri Dasaganu Maharaj to Godavari river is done with the blessings of Sri Sai Baba.

When one is travelling to places like these, one should seek the blessings of Mahatmas to derive the benefit of that travel. Also, those blessings help to keep the mind on the right things all through without focusing on unnecessary things like good accommodation, good food or nice darshan etc.. Helps to stay alert to enjoy the nature and at the same time helps to stay pure in the presence of the Lord.

We bow to the Divya Janani for the blessings!

Jai Sai Master!!
